"I understand the material better when I attend class and can ask the professor or my peers questions. There have also been times when professors give extra credit just for showing up to class."

"College is a journey. The first couple of semesters should be more about exploring and understanding what you enjoy; discovering people, ideas and cultures that you knew nothing about; and using these experiences to help affirm what you value. These experiences should help narrow down the pathway toward a degree, and hopefully ignite a passion to be a lifelong learner. By pursuing opportunities outside the classroom, you also can discover how to improve your skills and talents."

Why more time in nature is crucial for your health
|
We’ve all been there: reading the same sentence over and over because your brain is exhausted and can’t take in any more information. Socializing with friends or going to the movies are both helpful for breaking up that brain fog, but there might be a better option. After months of social distancing and living through the stressors of a global pandemic, getting outdoors and connecting with nature can improve both mental and physical wellness.
