Medieval Studies

Has your interest in Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons and the television phenomenon Game of Thrones extended into the Middle Ages? Or are you drawn to King Arthur, dragons, armored knights and castles? Consider quenching your thirst for knowledge by pursuing the Concentration in Medieval Studies.

About The Concentration

An Interdisciplinary Concentration in Medieval Studies allows you to choose a cluster of courses that focus on the Middle Ages from a variety of perspectives. Thus, you will take medieval-themed courses in at least three different departments and complete a capstone project. Courses that you take toward the Medieval Studies Concentration can also count towards your major or minor. We offer a competitive capstone prize and financial support for expenses related to the capstone.

This program is open to all students, regardless of major.
